The Lady Islanders 12U team clinched a spot in the NYSAHA Girls State Championship Tournament by downing the Brewster Lady Bulldogs in Dix Hills today in the second and final play down game.

Brewster came out hard and quickly banged home two goals to take an early 2-0 lead with tallies coming at 12:11 and 11:50 of the first.  But the Lady Isles have faced this scenario before, the first play down game in Brewster started in the same fashion.  Finally settling in the Isles went to the game plan and within 30 seconds of the second Brewster goal the score was 2-1.  From that point forward the 12U team did not look back they out skated, out passed and out muscled the Lady Bulldogs to score a total of six unanswered goals, securing the second play down win 6-2 and a return trip the the big dance!

Good Luck Girls!!! GO LADY ISLANDERS……...
